An infinity mirror is a regular mirror and a partly reflective front panel set a short distance apart, with LEDs running around the gap. Light bounces between the two surfaces, and each reflection appears a little deeper and dimmer than the last, so the lights read as a tunnel running far behind the wall.
Our LED infinity mirrors come in five wall shapes and three sizes, so this guide uses them as the worked example. Everything else applies to any infinity mirror you look at.
How does an infinity mirror work?
An infinity mirror has three layers. At the back is a fully reflective mirror. At the front is a partly reflective panel that sends most of the light back inside and lets some through to you. Between the two, an LED strip runs around the frame.

-
01Two-way front panelReflects most of the light back inside and lets a little escape to your eye. On our mirrors it is two-way acrylic.
-
02LED frameA strip of LEDs runs around the edge, between the two surfaces. This is the only light source.
-
03Back mirrorFully reflective. It sends every ray back to the front, again and again.
Light from the LEDs hits the front panel. A little passes through to your eye, and the rest reflects to the back mirror and returns. Each round trip makes another copy of the LED ring that appears further back, and because every bounce loses some light, the copies dim with depth. Your eye reads that fade as a tunnel, even though the frame is only a few inches deep.
The two surfaces must sit exactly parallel, or the rings drift to one side and the tunnel bends. The tunnel also repeats the outline of its frame: an octagon, as on the Infinity OctaMirror, gives an octagonal tunnel, a square gives a square one, and a circle, as on the Infinity 360 Mirror, gives rings with no corners.
The physics: Wikipedia, “Infinity mirror”. Artists such as Yayoi Kusama have used the same effect in room-sized installations; a home infinity mirror puts it inside one frame.
Can you see yourself in an infinity mirror?
In both states. With the LEDs off, the front panel gives a clear, true reflection like an everyday wall mirror. With them on, your reflection is still there, just much fainter, layered inside the tunnel of light. That is why one piece can work as a mirror by day and a light by night.
Where an infinity mirror looks best
It is a statement piece, not quiet background decor. An infinity mirror draws the eye, so it works where you want attention to land: a desk setup, a home bar, a bedroom wall, an entryway. Pick a color that suits the room and it carries the whole wall. Switched off, it is a mirror, so it never reads as a dark rectangle by day.

How much does an infinity mirror cost?
An infinity mirror’s price depends mostly on its size, the front panel and how it is controlled. A DIY build costs only its parts; a finished wall piece with a remote, app control and a guarantee costs more. Ours cost €285,95 EUR, €571,95 EUR or €762,95 EUR by size, the same for all five shapes.
| Size | Width | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 11.8″ · 30 cm | €285,95 EUR |
| Medium | 19.7″ · 50 cm | €571,95 EUR |
| Large | 27.6″ · 70 cm | €762,95 EUR |
Size drives most of the price: a bigger frame needs more mirror, a longer run of LEDs and a heavier build. Shipping is the other big part. A wall infinity mirror is a mirror, a front panel and a lit frame built as one piece, up to 27.6″ (70 cm) across and up to 45.2 lb (20.5 kg), and it travels the way galleries move framed art.

- A custom-built wooden crateRigid on every side and sized to the mirror.
- 2.5″ of high-density foamOn all six sides, so the mirror sits still inside the crate.
- A double-wall outer boxSealed with reinforced tape on every seam.
A crate that size travels as an oversize parcel, so carriers add a handling fee on top of the postage. We cover all of it: every order ships free from Georgia, USA.
Make one or buy one
A homemade infinity mirror needs the same three layers plus a frame and a power supply. Two ordinary mirrors facing each other show the effect in seconds. The difference is finish, control and who stands behind it.

Make one
- You choose the size, shape and LEDs
- You cut, wire and frame it yourself
- Parallel layers are the hard part
- No warranty beyond the parts
Buy one
- Finished frame, ready to hang
- Remote, app and voice control, 1M+ colors and 360+ effects
- Five shapes, three sizes
- 2-Year Casa Guarantee, 30-day returns
Choosing shape and size
All five of our wall mirrors share the same sizes, colors and controls. The difference is geometry, and how it sits with the lines already in your room. Compare them side by side in the infinity mirror collection.
For size, measure the furniture beneath it, not the mirror, and aim for about two-thirds of its width.
Each size has its own spot, shown here at the same scale. The 11.8″ stands on a desk or shelf, the 19.7″ hangs over a console or small desk, and the 27.6″ anchors a full wall.

The 27.6″ is the statement piece. In a narrow wall or alcove it fills the space and washes the whole wall in color.
Measuring and mounting
Most of the work happens before the drill comes out. Pick the wall, centre the mirror over the furniture below it, and hang its middle about 57–60″ (145–152 cm) from the floor, near eye level. Check it sits within reach of an outlet: the cord is 98″ (250 cm).

Infinity mirror questions
How do you control it: remote, app or voice?
A remote comes in the box. The app and voice control are optional.
- Remote
- Power, brightness, scenes and music mode.
- App (optional)
- Tuya Smart. Pairs over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only (5 GHz won’t pair). Adds custom scenes, timers and control of several mirrors at once.
- Voice
- Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, through the app.
How many colors and effects does it have?
Any color you want, and it moves.
Custom multi-color options are included. Music mode syncs the light to what you play, and the timer switches it on or off on schedule.
Which size should I choose?
Measure the furniture below it and aim for about two-thirds of its width.
| Mirror | Good over | Furniture width |
|---|---|---|
| 11.8″ · 30 cm | Nightstand, desk or shelf | up to about 18″ |
| 19.7″ · 50 cm | A console | about 30″ (75 cm) |
| 27.6″ · 70 cm | A sideboard or dresser | about 42″ (107 cm) |
Can an infinity mirror sit on a table instead of hanging?
The five wall mirrors only hang.
They mount flat on the included bracket. For a console, shelf or nightstand, choose the Infinity Cube or Infinity Pyramid. They switch on at an inline switch on a USB cable and run from any USB wall adapter.
What comes in the box, and is it hard to hang?
About 15 minutes. Two people make it easy.
- Wall installation kit: bracket, four screws and drywall anchors
- Power adapter
- Wireless remote
- Instruction manual
Fix the bracket level, hook the mirror on, plug it in.
How is it powered, and how long is the cord?
Plugs into any ordinary outlet.
Hang it within reach of an outlet.
Does it get hot, and is it safe?
No. LEDs run far cooler than incandescent bulbs.
The mirror runs through a plug-in adapter, not wired into the wall. Treat it like any plug-in light: keep the adapter dry, and switch off and unplug before cleaning.
How deep and how heavy is an infinity mirror?
Depth depends on shape. Weight runs 7 to 45.2 lb.
| Shape | Depth |
|---|---|
| OctaMirror | 5″ (12.5 cm) |
| HexaMirror, QuadraMirror | 3.15″ (8 cm) |
| TriMirror, 360 Mirror | 2″ (5 cm) |
From 7 lb (3.2 kg) for a small TriMirror to 45.2 lb (20.5 kg) for a large HexaMirror or QuadraMirror.
How do you clean it?
Switch it off and unplug it first.
Use
- A dry or barely damp microfiber cloth

The front panel is acrylic, so these can scratch or cloud it.
How long does an infinity mirror last?
Years of use, and a guarantee behind it.
The guarantee covers every mirror with full replacement or refund.
How is it shipped?
Free shipping from Georgia, USA, on every order.
- Wooden crateCustom-built to the mirror.
